So the first thing I look at isn't the design, it's who will be editing this, how often and how comfortably. Those answers decide whether the job wants WordPress, custom code or both, and how much you can handle on your own afterwards.

WordPress or a custom-coded site?
It depends on who will update it and how often. WordPress fits when several people publish regularly and need a familiar dashboard. A site built with Astro fits when content rarely changes and the priority is fast loading and low maintenance. If you need both, headless WordPress pairs the dashboard your team knows with fast static pages for visitors.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on the number of pages, any custom functionality and whether an existing site needs migrating, so every quote is tailored. A launch landing page is a very different job from a corporate site with an editing dashboard and several languages. My rates are well below agency pricing. Tell me what you need and I'll send you a concrete figure.
What do I need to provide?
The content: copy, photos, logo and the contact details you want to show. If the copy isn't written yet, I'll help you map out which pages you need and what each one should say, so you know exactly what to write. I'll also need access to your domain, or we'll register one together in your name if you don't have it yet.
Are hosting and the domain included?
They're registered in your name and you pay the provider directly, with no middleman. I'll recommend what suits your site and help you set it up, but the account is yours: if you ever switch developers or providers, you don't depend on anyone to do it. That avoids the most common headache of all, not knowing who holds the keys.
Will my site show up on Google?
I build it so Google can find and understand it: clear structure, fast loading, stable URLs and clean technical markup. That's the foundation, but it doesn't guarantee rankings. Reaching the top results also depends on the content you publish, your competition and time. Nobody can honestly promise you a specific position on Google.
What happens once the site is live?
From then on you publish and edit from the dashboard yourself, without emailing me to change a line of text. If you later need plugins updated, a bug fixed or a feature added, that's covered by support and maintenance, and if you decide to start selling online, by online stores.
